Spring or Summer Scrapbook Poem - Mud Pies  



Mud pies

They don't bake well...

They don't taste well...

But they sure do make well!

A Few Scrapbook Layout Ideas For Using This Poem:


1. Take a picture of your child playing in the mud and smiling as they form 'pies' and other shapes. 

2. Include a picture of the mud pie by itself and add a paper or fabric '1st Place at the County Fair' ribbon next to the mud pie.

3.  Take a 'before', 'during', and after photo of your child playing in the mud.  Have the 'before' picture show him or her in clean clothes holding a pail of 'tools' such as small trowels or large spoons for scooping mud.  When your child is actually playing in the mud take several photos.  Select the 'during' photo to include in the scrapbook album that shows them at their muddiest, or the photo that shows them at their happiest.  Finish with an after photo when the child is cleaned up, but with hair still wet, and face still smiling as the 'after' image.

4. It is always fun to take a picture or the bath or shower after the water has drained to show how much mud your little one has left behind!  or Take a picture of washing the mud off with the hose before coming into the house.

5.  Muddy footprints left in the sidewalk, or in the grass are fun accent photos!

6.  After your child's mud pie has dried, take a picture of him or her decorating the top of the pie with things such as dandelions, leaves, or small pebbles to make it as 'pretty' as possible.
